001 {delta} chosen seeker's new truth

Xion doesn't know what she expected when she warped to this area, but she knows it wasn't... this. First, there were the strange statues outside, the ones that looked like they were trapped in the random free-standing walls and seemed to be trying to escape. (There was even one that was just the back half of a person...) And then there were the monsters that ran around outside of the portals. And then... And then there's the dungeon, dark and cold and creepy, especially with the giant blade swinging in the air and the random skeletons trapped in cages. The background music isn't helping any, either.

"Eeee..." Xion can't help but whine as she edges around a sitting corpse. Judging by the cursor, she can do... something... to it... but... Nope. Not going anywhere near that thing. "Why did I agree to use Sora's FMD again...?"

It's a good thing that Twin Blades are fast and that there haven't been a lot of traps, because otherwise, Xion would've died a long time ago. She's managed to sneak past several portals so far, and she intends to dodge around the one in this room, but, well -- Her attempts to avoid the corpse have pushed her closer to it than she realizes. The portal pulsates and whooshes, and Xion whirls, clutching her blades. Three small creatures appear, dressed in brightly colored leaves and fur, wearing animal skulls on their heads and carrying sticks. "Goblin Wiz," reads the info blurb above the head of the closest one. They cackle and lift their staves, and she runs.

This was such a bad idea. Why did she decide to go to an area all by herself? Didn't her brother tell her to Flash Mail some of his friends? She imagines faceless Internet people who are smiling and asking friendly questions, and she feels ill. No... She didn't even do that much trading in town. Talking to people -- having to pretend like everything is normal, like nothing has happened -- that isn't something she wants to do. But now she's trapped in a dungeon full of monsters that are higher leveled than she is, and she's paying the consequences.

A red circle appears around Xion's feet, and her character stops responding. "What?!" Frantically, Xion swirls the control stick, but nothing. Her character can't move until the fire spell finishes, and by the time the second circle traps her, her hit points are already near zero.

"Dammit dammit dammit -- "
